About Us

Originally from Adelaide South Australia, I  grew up with an appreciation of water sports and horses. I feel at home by the ocean there's something calming and grounding about it. 

There's no doubt these experiences guided me in the direction of non traditional therapy for my daughter suffering epilepsy. I've always loved animals and nature and have been involved with horses most of my life.

 I spent my childhood waterskiing every weekend and trips to the snow. I was lucky enough to travel the world  doing what I love and that crossed over into adulthood. 

I spent my career in law enforcement which projected me to Washington DC. My career really solidified my drive to do things great for the community and make a difference. 

I am extremely driven in all things I do and I'm excited to improve the lives of those living with epilepsy.

                                                                              From New Jersey to Philadelphia to Southern California, by way of the Pingry School, the University of Notre Dame and Temple University Beasley School of Law.  

My journey with epilepsy started in April 2014.  Sarah-Kate had taken our month-old daughter Lily into the hospital for her first EEG.  My phone rang: "those things we've been seeing with Lily-Kate - they are seizures."  That was the day my life forever changed, and all of the days that followed  are footsteps in the sand, leading us to Lily's Lighthouse.

                                                                              Patrick Detinger is currently CEO of Cell port Software, a companycreated from within Absorption Systems to run and manage laboratory processes.

Detinger is also a Board member of Clayton Pharmaceuticals. Most recently, he was the co-founder and CEO of Absorption Systems LLC. Absorption Systems is the industry leader as a partner for preclinical drug development. As Absorption Systems evolved, they eventually offered analytical testing services supporting small molecule, cell and gene therapy development through analytical manufacturing. 

Absorption Systems became an industry leader in non-clinicalbioequivalence testing for small molecule drug products through itscommitment to innovative science and its collaborative approach to working with the FDA.

       Originally from Southern New Jersey, growing up as an avid surfer skateboarder, Steve headed west to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music and later fashion. Having immersed himself in counter-culture, Steve used his experience to build meaningful partnerships while heading up the marketing department and brand management at Obey Clothing.

Currently CEO, he continues to bring awareness to social causes while leading the brand in a sustainable direction.                                                                       

George Felix is a brand builder with a track record of growing brands through distinctive brand positioning and breakthrough advertising. He has previously held marketing leadership positions on Old Spice, KFC, Pizza Hut and Tinder and currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Chilli’s Grill and Bar at Brinker International. 

In 2018, Advertising Age named Felix its “Brand Marketer of the Year” and in 2016 he made the outlet’s 40 under 40 list.

During his career, he has been at the helm of several award-winning campaigns including 14 Cannes Lions, 4 Effies and an Emmy for Best Commercial. 

George lives in Dallas, TX with his wife Mary, and 2 kids, Eleanor and Wilson.

Elexa is a Southern Californian native who enjoys traveling, cooking and outdoor activities. 

She has backpacked through over thirty countries and six continentswhich has driven her passion for helping others and providing culturally competent care.

Currently working as a Registered Cardiac Medical-Surgical Nurse atthe Veterans Hospital in San Diego she brings with her a medicalbackground and compassion for others

                Dominic has spent nearly twenty years in the accounting industry working with companies across a wide range of industries, and has been a certified public accountant since 2007.

He received both a bachelor of business administration and master of science in taxation from the University of Notre Dame.

Dominic lives in Chicago with his wife and two children.
