Lily's Lighthouse is excited to announce our Partnership with Realm of Caring & Unlimited Sciences for a
Study on Functional Mushrooms and Epilepsy Set to Launch in 2024 Through Nonprofits’ Partnership
Why Lily's Lighthouse?
Because 1/3 of people diagnosed with epilepsy will live with uncontrollable seizures with no available treatment. This is called "intractable epilepsy."
We found a natural treatment for Lily's intractable epilepsy that has given her significant and sustained seizure control.
Lily's Lighthouse transforms the lives of children living with epilepsy by funding research that bridges the gap between traditional and non traditional treatments for epilepsy. Based out of San Clemente, California, the 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit supports the advancement of safe, evidence-based therapeutics to improve health and wellbeing for all of those suffering from epilepsy.
Our current goal is to fund a clinical study into non-psychedelic medicinal mushrooms, including but not limited to Reishi and Lions Mane for the treatment of seizures that will eventually result in the development of a mushroom-based therapeutic.
In addition to research, we strive to raise enough funds to provide a seizure-alert dog for a local child suffering from intractable seizures, as well as a year of weekly lessons with PT or OT in a non-traditional therapy setting such as surf therapy, art-therapy or hippotherapy
Our vision is to improve the quality of life for those living with epilepsy through funding research into innovative treatments and holistic therapies that assist with seizure-control and provide other health benefits. Our vision is to give families better choices into treatment options for their children and to help them improve in areas such as cognitive, physical and speech through a non-traditional therapeutic environment.
